Respect the trend of MNF dogs throughout the years, but feel there are strong fundamentals at work in this game. First, the Green Bay running attack is excellent and should be solid against the 31st ranked Oakland run defense. Second, Favre should be able to use play action underneath and to some degree up top. The only concern here is whether or not Favre can fully concentrate following the tragic loss of his father yesterday. Expect a few misses in his throws here, but on the other hand, fully expect his teamates to rally around him at a very high level. For him to tell his team that he will play in this game for not only them, but no doubt, the memory of his father as well as his family is noteworthy. The fact that it is a critical game for the Packers comes into play as well. Emotional edge is clearly with the Packers as a team. The Raiders will bring it as well, but the feeling here is that Mirer will not get the job done. Last week, the Raiders were facing a one dimensional Ravens squad with a solid ground game with Lewis but a very inexperienced QB. That is not the case here. If Brett can remain focused, the Packers are the better team. One last point, Favre is well respected in the league. How intense will the Raiders play with the knowledge of Favre's loss? Early in the week, I was very strong on the Packers, but given what has happened in the last 24 hours will temper the play a bit. Hence,

1* Green Bay -4

favre should be put out to the pasture with the likes of Joe Willy, Johnny U who played well over their prime with limp arms. he needs to get back to drinking and poping vikes. Raiders will score less without him in the game. and that the way it is

It's old good. I have a college hoops play going right now with Florida State +8 over Pittsburgh. Current score is FS 23-20 with 5+ minutes to go in the first half.

ted, just an observation but the teams that you wager on, normally will win the first half, and the line that you get is always better... of course we have 2nd half comebacks but look at the games,, ncst-6 for 1st half to me is better than ncst-12 for the game, now i dont like to do this with dogs.. this is just some BS talk and not an indication of my handicapping,, ha ha.

You're backing this theory with winners. Maybe another concept for tracking? I'll tell you this. I may be an oldman, but I'm always open to new ideas. This is a young man's world. I learned a great deal from my younger employees during my career. Fresh ideas and an open mind lead to success for everyone.
